October 2018 Breast Cancer Awareness Month Proclamation Signing
The Department of Public Health and Social Services Guam Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection and Guam Comprehensive Cancer Control Programs, in partnership with the Non-Communicable Disease Consortium, Guam Comprehensive Cancer Control Coalition and other community organizations are pleased to recognize October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year’s theme is “Girls Fight Tough. Tough Boys Wear Pink”.
A proclamation signing will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 11:00am in the Governor’s Large Conference Room, Adelup.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of breast cancer risks, the value of screening and early detection, and treatment options available to women and men who are diagnosed with one of the many forms of breast cancer, in addition to raising funds for research.
